The park is surrounded by the ocean, mountains, glaciers and beaches. Everywhere you look there is something magical in the way the sun reflects on the water! You cannot see this beautiful area anywhere else but on the Homer Spit, a geological landform jutting 4.5 miles into Kachemak Bay. All guests have direct access to our private beach. Many eagles, otters and seals are frequently observed from the sites and roof viewing deck.
The community building houses our office, bathrooms, coffee café, rooftop deck and a large seating area with TV. Along with BBQ grills and patio seating, this entire area is open for all guests to enjoy meals or play games. It is a warm place to gather and visit with others out of your RV. We are family oriented for a relaxing and fun experience. You can even watch fisherpersons land salmon right on the beach.
Although the park is located within the area of shopping, charters and the harbor, it is quiet and secure with a 24 hr staffed office. We are dedicated to making your visit special to you and your family and friends. Our large parking area is available for extra vehicles and boats. There is no charge for dry storage if you leave Homer and return to stay with us.

Homer is at the end of the Sterling Highway, 200 miles south of Anchorage surrounded by wilderness and ocean. A home base for great fishing (The Halibut Fishing Capital of the World), kayaking, bear viewing, hiking, destination weddings, foodie and art vacations. The Homer Spit’s origin is the remains of an ancient glacial moraine, a 4.5-mile strip of sand, rocks and gravel and features the longest road into ocean waters in the entire world. Truly an 'End of the Road' location.
Look around our Visitor's Center website and learn all there is to know about Alaska and our small fishing town often called The Cosmic Hamlet by the Sea.
